This session will demonstrate and discuss the key techniques for converting “.unv” universe files to “.unx” universe files, including tools and techniques for redirecting the WebI reports to the new “.unx” universe files, testing the converted reports. I will also share some best practices and tips from my recent conversion projects.

In this presentation, you will learn about a systematic approach to fixing problems in any system, computer-based or other.

We will also explore methods specifically related to BusinessObjects.

2:45- 3:30 pm | Dynamic Dashboarding using Web Intelligence – Jose Ferrero, Freeport McMoRan Inc.

This session will demonstrate how Freeport McMoRan utilized Web Intelligence functions and input controls to create dynamic visualizations, chart changes on the fly, and much more in order to generate a Dashboard document. The current software market is full of tools offering diverse ways to create dashboards.

This session will show users how you can continue using your current SAP Business Intelligence environment, universes, and the power of Web Intelligence to create nice looking and functional document by demonstrating how to create a dashboard from scratch. At the end of the session, you will have the tools and knowledge to recreate it with your own enterprise data.

3:30- 4:00 pm | Data Governance, How Does it Fit? – Ethan Durda, Ascension BI 

Data governance as a model unto itself has continued to grow and morph as it tries to serve many masters.  This discussion will cover a range of topics around how data governance can help focus data management and keep expectations with leadership aligned to reasonable and achievable goals and objectives.
